![]() The keys on this thing are velocity sensitive and synthesizer styled, so they’re not weighted, but they do respond to how hard you play them. The Akai MPK Mini is powered by USB so all you have to do is plug it into your computer. It’s small which makes it super portable, it’s definitely very easy to use, and it’s compatible among many different DAWs. It’s got 25 keys, 8 drum pads, 8 knobs, buttons to transpose and select octaves, a joystick to control pitch and modulation, and a built in arpeggiator. ![]() The Akai MPK Mini MkII is one of my favorite MIDI keyboards.
